ITINERARY

 

Day 01: Delhi - Shimla

 

Arrive in Delhi and transfer by road to Shimla, the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow-capped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. On reaching Shimla, complete your check-in formalities in the hotel and relax for some time. The rest of the day is at leisure and you are free to roam and explore the local markets around the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

 

Day 02: Shimla - Kufri - Shimla

Start your day with the lavish breakfast at the hotel before leaving for the local sightseeing. Firstly, start your trek to the famous Jakhoo Temple which is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Jakhoo Hill is the highest point in Shimla, one can climb to enjoy the most sublime sunrises that Shimla offers.  Then proceed to the popular Ridge road which is often called the heart of the city. It’s the place of action or the spot to run miles from, depending on what mood you are in. Later one can visit the Mall Road where one can explore the colorful shops of souvenirs. Some other places near the Mall are Town Hall, Gaiety Theatre, and Scandal Point. Then post lunch, you can proceed for the day excursion to Kufri, which is elevated at the height of 8600 feet, and offers panoramic views of the Hassan Valley. The undulating slopes of Kufri, are guarded by the vast expanse of ancient cedar forests, horse riding, and languorous walks. Mahasu Peak is the highest point in Kufri, when the sky’s a cloudless blue, watch for views of the snowy peaks of Badrinath and Kedarnath.

 

Day 03: Shimla - Manali

 

On day 3, after breakfast, begin driving towards Manali. Treat your eyes to the snow-clad peaks and lush greenery on the way. Upon arriving, check-in at your hotel. Relax for some time. You are free to spend the day as your liking. In the evening, visit the vibrant and sprawling Mall road for shopping. You can get on some entirely charming garments, handicrafts, riverside cafes, and more. Dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 04: Manali - Rohtang Pass - Manali

 

On the 4th day of the tour, once you have breakfast, get all set to explore the mesmerizing hill town of Manali. Today, you visit Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley. Solang Valley is a pretty green stretch where most of the area’s adventure activity is centered. Once you visit these two places, you can admire the enchanting scenery and partake in adventure activities such as paragliding, zip-lining, rappelling, rock climbing, etc. Though inaccessible during winter, both these destinations bustle with tourist activities in the summer season. The Beas is a wild river and rafting on it requires strong nerves and stamina. Further, at a height of 8,500 ft the cascading Rahalla Falls which originates from a melting glacier from the Himalayas. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 05: Manali Sightseeing

 

This day of your Himachal tour is dedicated to exploring Old Manali. After breakfast in your hotel, you visit Manu Temple and Sage Vashishtha are worshipped in the two main ancient temples that have been reconstructed in stone and new wood. The third deity local goddess Hadimba is worth seeing as it has been pretty much untouched in all its 400-year-old wooden glory. The next visit is to the Tibetan Monastery. Near Manali Bazaar on the Mall, look for the protected Van Vihar National Park. This is a beautiful trail through pine and deodar woods, which teaches you that darkness can be luminous too. The trail runs parallel to the Manalsu and ends near the Old Manali Bridge. Back to the hotel for dinner. Stay overnight.

 

Day 06: Manali - Chandigarh

Have your breakfast and complete the check-out formalities. After that, begin driving towards Chandigarh. After you reach Chandigarh, check in at the hotel. The evening is free for you to indulge in leisure activities. One may visit the famous markets, gorge on the local delicacies, and more. Probably the best-planned city in the country. Stay overnight.

 

Day 07: Chandigarh - Delhi

Take a city tour after breakfast on the last day of this tour package. The attractions that are a part of today's list include Nek Chand Rock Garden, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, and Shanti Kunj. After that, enjoy boating at Sukhna Lake, another popular attraction. Post sightseeing hit the road back to Delhi. Finally, get an assisted drop at the airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
