6 Days Itinerary of Golden Triangle
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival at IGI airport in Delhi, you will transfer to the pre-booked hotel. After completing check-in formalities, you can rest for a while. Delhi is the symbol of old India and new, even the stones here whisper to our ears of the ages of long ago. It is an increasingly self-continent city, with stylish shops and fine restaurants. In the evening, you can go out and enjoy shopping, cultural performances, chic cafes, decent clubs, music, and dance events. In the end, you’ll find that you can buy goods here from pretty much anywhere in India. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a full-day city tour. Today, start your day with the Delhi sightseeing, the axis of the city is the arrow-straight royal mall, Rajpath, running from the presidential palace, Rashtrapati Bhawan, in the west, to India Gate in the east. In the south, the residences of Indira Gandhi have been preserved as memorials, as has Gandhi Smriti. After lunch, enjoy shopping at Connaught Place where neon advertisements for restaurants and bars adorn the roofs and verandas of the buildings that circle its central park. Then move towards, the Jantar Mantar built in 1725, the first of five observatories designed by the ruler of Jaipur.
One of Delhi’s most famous landmarks, the fluted red sandstone tower of the Qutub Minar tapers upwards from the ruins, covered with intricate carvings to a height of just over 72 mt. Now leave for Humayun’s Tomb, Delhi’s first Mughal Mausoleum, it was constructed to house the remains of the second Mughal emperor, Humayun. Now end the tour with the Light and Sound show at Red Fort Complex. Return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
After a lovely breakfast check out from the hotel and you will be moving to Agra by road. On your arrival in Agra, check-in at your hotel. Agra’s attractions begin and end with the extraordinary collection of Mughal monuments that dot the city and which exemplify the finest achievements of this extraordinarily cultured, incredibly extravagant, and self-indulgent dynasty. After some rest, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Agra, the Taj Mahal, the summation and culmination of Mughal architecture in Agra, is the highlight of any visit to the city. A short distance upriver, the myriad royal apartments, courtyards, and mosques of Agra Fort offer a good overview of changing architectural fashions. North of the fort stretches a sequence of outstanding monuments, most notably the imposing Jama Masjid, the superb little Itimad-ud-Daulah. Return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 04: Agra - Jaipur
On the 4th day of the Golden Triangle tour, post breakfast, check out, and leave from Agra to Jaipur. En route, halt at Fatehpur Sikri, the former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. The major attractions you will cover here include The Royal Palace, Jama Masjid, Jodha Bai Palace, Birbal’s Palace, Panch Mahal, and the Buland Darwaza. On reaching Jaipur, check in at the hotel for a night stay.
Day 05: Jaipur
Wake up to explore the largest and busiest city of Rajasthan i.e. Jaipur, the city is home to a rich clutch of sights, built by the ruling maharajas. Start your day tour from Amber Fort, the superb palace with an impressive fort of Jaigarh here you can enjoy an elephant ride. At the heart of Jaipur lies Jai Singh’s original capital, popularly known as the Pink City. The neatly rectilinear streets are home to Jaipur’s three most famous monuments – the Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar observatory – as well as an extraordinary collection of bazaars with different trades and crafts.
Another major attraction in Jaipur is the Nahargarh or Tiger Fort, the main reason for coming up here is to sample the superb views of Jaipur. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for a night's stay.
Day 06: Departure from Delhi
This day marks the end of 6 days of Golden Triangle Tour India. After breakfast, begin the drive from Jaipur to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport to board a flight for a journey back home with pleasant memories.
