ITINERARY DETAILS

 

Day 01:  Arrival at Jodhpur

 

Jodhpur also known as the “Blue City” is one of the most visited tourist places in Rajasthan. It is known to house royal historic monuments of the country. The city holds immense cultural and historical importance and was established in 1459 by the Rathore Dynasty. On reaching Jodhpur, register at the hotel reception and freshen up.

After taking some rest, leave for sightseeing around the palaces, forts, museums, and lakes of Jodhpur. Witness the magnificence of the Mehrangarh Fort which is one of the largest forts in India. Built entirely of red sandstones, the fort is visible on the edge of a hill. Later, take a short walk from the Mehrangarh Fort to reach another prominent landmark of the city - Jaswant Thada a beautiful white marble memorial known as the cremation ground for the royal family of Marwar. In the evening explore the Local Market and Clock Tower. Return to hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

 

 

 

Day 02:  Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

 

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer towards the next alluring destination “Jaisalmer” the Golden City. The palaces, temples, and havelis wear a sheen of gold in the afternoon, lustrous with a light that seems to glow deep within the stone. A part of the Great Indian Thar Desert, the city is dotted with several antique Havelis that were built by the royal merchants of the city. Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Stay overnight in the hotel.

 

Day 03:  Jaisalmer “Land of the Golden Fortress”

 

After morning breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. The city is quite famous for the Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Quila. The setting sun in its most colorful shades gives it a fairy tale appearance. Inside this fort, visit the Raj Mahal (royal palace), the Laxminath Temple, and several Jain temples. The palace museum has a huge collection of items belonging to the royal era. Other attractions that you will visit include Patwon-ki-Haveli (the largest and most elaborate five-story high and extensively carved haveli), and Gadsisar Lake (a scenic rainwater lake with numerous beautiful shrines).

Later in the evening, drive 45 km to the west of the city to visit Sam Sand Dunes. Enjoying a camel ride safari to Sunset Point (on a direct payment basis) can be a golden experience. Also, enjoy the local cultural dance program in Jaisalmer. Stay overnight in the hotel.

 

Day 04:   Jaisalmer - Bikaner

 

In the morning, head towards the next charming destination ‘Bikaner’ in Rajasthan. A vast expanse of shimmering desert, the city lies in the northern region of the state. Famous for Camel Safaris, it has the world’s most considerable Camel research and breeding farm.

After reaching Bikaner, take a trip to the colossal Junagarh Fort, and discover the striking palaces inside the fort Anup Mahal, Ganga Niwas, and Rang Mahal. Furthermore, you can explore the rich treasures of the royal era in the museum. Subsequently, also visit the National Research Centre on Camel. Spread over an area of more than 2000 acres, it is one of a kind in Asia. You can enrich your knowledge about Camel, the famous ‘Ship of the Desert. The center also has a camel museum that throws light on the developmental aspects of the research work.

 

Day 05:  Bikaner to Jaipur

 

Arise for a lovely breakfast and check out from the hotel as you will be moving to the capital city  ‘Jaipur’. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and rest for a while. In the afternoon, visit the renowned City Palace which is known as Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, you’ll feel delighted to see the artifacts and items of the former royalty, Jantar Mantar an observatory also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, visit Chokhi Dhani to experience the true color of Rajasthani culture. In Chokhi Dhani village view colorful paintings and enjoy folk dance and Rajasthani food. Post sightseeing and dinner return to the hotel and have a comfortable overnight stay.

 

Day 06:  Jaipur  

 

In the morning, embark on a road journey to the Amber Fort. En route to the fort, halt for a visit to Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal is the most recognizable monument of Jaipur. The windows of the monument built through pink sandstone were once used by the royal ladies to watch and enjoy the processions and other activities passing on the streets.

Enjoy the jeep safari (ride-up) to the Amber Fort. Nestled on the edge of a hill, the majestic fort impresses visitors at the first vista. Discover the history as you move through large gates, a generous courtyard, and many pavilions and halls of great interest and other popular attractions.

Later, check out of the hotel and get off at the railway station/airport and return back home with everlasting memories from the trip.
